The Oxford International Review’s SWF blog has published an interview with RGE Monitor’s Rachel Ziemba.

Among other things, she says that, “[A]s ostensibly long term investors, [SWFs] could be the ideal investors, not subject to redemptions, willing to take a long-view, increasingly seeking out partnerships. But on the other hand, the willingness of some to be passive investors may weaken the role of other stakeholders.”

Rachel Ziemba of RGE writes (filling in for Brad Setser at his blog) that, “Reports from [Norway’s Government Pension Fund-Global and Singapore’s Temasek Holdings]… give us some clues as to how other, less transparent sovereign investors might be faring in the current market. [Apparent losses by these investors] might call into question the expected rate of growth of such funds.
