Italy to propose EU sovereign wealth fund

Thomson Reuters reports that, “Italy will propose that the European Union consider changing the European Investment Bank (EIB) into a sovereign investment fund for the 27-nation bloc, Economy Minister Giulio Tremonti said on Sunday.”
